Jasmine O’Connor is a dancer, choreographer, and educator based in St. Louis, Missouri. Born and raised in Champaign, Illinois, Jasmine began her dance training at Christine Rich Dance Studio at the age of three. Since then, she has trained in a wide variety of dance forms, specializing in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, modern, and choreographic process. Her choreography has been featured at Youth America Grand Prix, ADC IBC Youth International Ballet Competition, and on numerous stages throughout her career. Alongside her own dance training, Jasmine discovered a passion for teaching at an early age. For the past 5 years, she has worked as Co-Director of the Early Childhood Ballet Program at Urbana Fine Arts Center, where she developed her love for nurturing young dancers and creating positive, joyful learning environments. Jasmine graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in May 2026 with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Following graduation, Jasmine moved to St. Louis to join Modern American Dance Company (MADCO) as an apprentice, where she continues to pursue her career as a performer and educator. Jasmine’s love for teaching stems from her belief that dance is a transformative and joyful experience that should be accessible to, enjoyed by, and celebrated by all. She strives to create an encouraging environment where students can build confidence, explore their creativity, and develop a lifelong love of dance.
