Andrea Dobbins Calloway is originally from St. Louis, Missouri, where she grew up as a competitive dancer at RJ's Dance Studio (Ellisville). She studied at Chapman University, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance, graduating with Summa Cum Laude honors. She moved to Los Angeles following graduation to pursue a professional dance and performance career, and is still represented by Bloc Talent Agency today.

Andrea recently closed a production of In the Heights in Los Angeles, where she served as the Dance Captain, Associate Choreographer, and featured Ensemble roles, demonstrating leadership in maintaining choreographic integrity and assisting in the choreographic process for major dance numbers within the show. She has also been seen in the touring production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid, during which she performed in multiple venues across the country including the prestigious Starlight Theatre (Kansas City, MO), The Lied Center (Lincoln, NE), The Ordway Theatre (St. Paul, MN), and La Mirada Theatre (Orange County, CA). She has also served as Dance Captain and Swing for the theatrical production, Disney's Frozen, being a point of guidance for the cast as a whole, while learning multiple Ensemble tracks, and stepping into the show at a moment's notice.

Other favorite credits include a second production of In the Heights, The King and I and Joseph…Dreamcoat at La Mirada Theatre, where she has been seen dancing and singing in the ensemble.

Andrea has also been featured in commercials for Nike House of Hoops and Huawei Technologies. During her time in Los Angeles, she has choreographed music videos for the artist, Marshmello, and has choreographed moments of Snoop Dogg’s documentary, G Funk.

Andrea has been traveling, teaching and choreographing for over 15 years, teaching multiple genres, and absolutely loves the dance education world. She is very excited to share her love for dance at the studio that started it all!
