Mr. Redd

Instructor

Redd Williams, a native St. Louisian, brings significant performance, choreography, and teaching experience. His educational facility includes Millennium Dance Complex and Debbie Reynolds where he has received extensive training in jazz and hip hop movements. Working consistently with choreographers: Laurianne Gibson; Cecily & Olisa, Ro Ro, Kennis, Rosero & Jamal, his resume continues to expand. His quick learning and creative genius have allowed him vast opportunities in the educational and entertainment industry of dance. Currently, Redd maintains a position as hip hop instructor for Millennium Dance Complex and Debbie Reynolds in Los Angeles, CA as well as Center of Contemporary Arts in St. Louis, MO. He has performed on tours, in music videos and television commercials for some of hip-hop’s biggest recording artists, including Adidas Industrial, Beyoncé, Corbin Bleu, Lady Gaga and many more. He has assisted in choreography with the artist, Kishaya in “Starbucks Dancing Commercial” and “D Girl Music Video”. His choreography has been performed by such legends as Nelly and featured at such venues as Showtime at the Apollo and the Missouri Black Expo. He has become a regular feature for St. Louis Grand Center’s, Dancing in the Streets and Better Family Life’s, Black Dance St. Louis. Creating international acclaim, Redd was allotted the opportunity to teach in various facilities throughout Japan, whereby staging a performance, featuring his choreography. In 2004, he was awarded the U Got Served Dance Off for choreography. He has also been tapped to co-direct/choreograph the 2015 Rose Bowl Half-Time Show! Redd is greatly respected for his colorful personality and ability to create “life” on stage. His future is endless in the education and entertainment industry as credits continue to precede him.
